The purpose of this competition guide is to provide advice on the various modules required for a SSHRC Insight Grant (IG) application. It is meant to complement the competition instructions, and not substitute them. As such, we ask that you carefully review the application instructions and evaluation criteria before consulting this guide.
Please note that SSHRC online system textbox character counts include spaces, and modules uploaded as attachments must adhere to the following formatting requirements:
- PDF format (.pdf extension); unprotected
- 8 ½” x 11” (216mm x 279mm)
- Body text in a minimum of 12 pt. Times New Roman font
- Single-spaced, with no more than 6 lines of type per inch
- All margins set at a minimum of ¾” (1.87cm)
